Our November Consultant Spotlight is Fred Heyse

“I spent a lot of time in the military and then much longer in corporate America – they keep the peace and make the money.  But, in my almost 30 years in nonprofit work, I learned that this is where our communities really become different.  Vibrant nonprofits make the difference between a thriving community and an average one.”

Fred’s service to the nonprofit community is both impressive and boundless. In addition to being an active and respected OneSource Center consultant, he serves on the boards of Greater Cincinnati Behavioral Health and Apprisen, both of which as a past Chair. He is a past Chair of Consumer Credit Counseling Service of the Midwest (Columbus, OH), and Family Service of Greater Cincinnati/NKY. Fred has also served on the boards of the League of Women Voters Education Fund and High Schools That Work of Southwest Ohio. If that is not impressive enough, he is also Board Chair of his property owners association and is active in local Anderson and Pierce Township government committees and in his church. Fred is a past president of the Executive Service Corps of Cincinnati (ESCC) and a former trustee of OneSource Center. Fred spent over 6 years with the US Navy in Nuclear Submarines. He proudly retired from Procter & Gamble after more than 29 years of service. When he isn’t volunteering his time, Fred is involved with the Cincinnati Submarine Cold War Memorial and Peace project.
