CARES Act Tips and Insight

Resources and Implications for Your Nonprofit

Session included: 

• OneSource Center consultants Brian Robson and Anne Cook presented an overview of the CARES Act legislation as of April 7; strategic thinking on utilizing these resources; and an overview of implications for nonprofits. 
• PAST Foundation’s Annaliese Corbin shared a case study on how their organization utilized this legislation. 
• ProBono Partnership of Ohio offered legal perspective on best practices in CARES Act usage.

OneSource Center is relocating to a centralized location (936 Dalton Avenue) closer to the nonprofits we serve!  With a June 1 opening date, nonprofits AND THE PUBLIC are both welcome to take advantage of reduced pricing on office furniture and mission needs. We are making room for new product offerings at the new location and want to pass on savings to you!

We will delve into not just how to make “the ask” but how to build and maintain relationships with funders and how to make sure the ask is right for the funder being approached. For all the time that grant writing takes, be sure you are investing that time wisely by learning more about how to ensure the proper fit between you and a funder. Join Nonprofit New York and Candid on May 20, 2 p.m. to learn how in a short amount of time they have shifted their in-person events to an online format during the coronavirus (COVID-19) crisis. In this webinar, panelists will share how they determined the purpose of events, evaluated different scenarios, selected an online platform, leveraged their talents, and delivered successful events. The panelists will have an honest conversation on how they managed these programmatic changes and what lessons they learned throughout the process.  More details here.
