Free “Farm to School” Educator Workshop
K-12 educators working to build food literacy education into their curriculums are invited to attend the Greater Cincinnati Regional Food Policy Council’s (an initiative of Green Umbrella) “Farm to School Educators Workshop” on Saturday, September 19th 8:30AM – 12:30PM. Speakers will address both in person and virtual resources. This is a free virtual event for teachers. Certificates will be provided for continuing education credits. More information here.
Job Resources Through WCPO and Cincinnati Works
Spread the word! Tell clients and job-seekers alike they can join Cincinnati Works and WCPO on the last Friday of every month for a virtual job fair featuring local employers who are hiring for immediate openings. Space is limited in this virtual event. To participate, email resumes, including a full name, phone number, email address and the participating employer that is of most interest. Additionally, there is a Facebook group called “Getting a job in the Cincinnati area.” Check it out!
SVP “Fast Pitch” Annual Event September 29 – October 1
Social Venture Partners Cincinnati is presenting Fast Pitch 2020, Greater Cincinnati’s original nonprofit pitch competition, September 29 – October 1. The virtual event highlights finalists in the Fast Pitch contest, and ticket purchasers will go directly toward cash prizes for all finalists. Congratulations to 2020 finalists: Boys Hope Girls Hope of Cincinnati, Brew Haus Bakery, Cincinnati Youth Collaborative, Cindependent Film Festival, Girls’ Health Period, Lincoln Heights Outreach Inc., MedMentor, Partnership for Innovation in Education, Samaritan Car Care Clinic, Social Circus, Visually Impaired Preschool Services and Your Store of the Queen City. Free Fundraising Course Through Interact for Health and IUPUI:
Interact for Health is offering “Fundraising for Small Nonprofits”, a three-week online course by IUPUI The Fundraising School, starting Monday, October 5, 9:00 a.m.- noon. Limited registrations are available, and the course is fully subsidized by Interact for Health.
