Payment Assist Programs for Energy and Water Bills

With dropping temperatures and growing needs across our region, local organizations are doing their part in assisting community members with energy and water assistance and programs.

  • People Working Cooperatively will assist individuals with completing the forms need to receive energy assistance. More information is available here.    
  • Community Action Agencies across Kentucky are accepting applications for the “Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP) Crisis Component” and the new “Low Income Home Water Assistance Program.” Read the Northern Kentucky Tribune article highlighting details. 
  • Duke Energy has launched its “Share the Light Fund” to aid customers in need of financial assistance. Read the Northern Kentucky Tribune article for more info. 
  • Duke Energy Financial has services options for clients struggling to pay bills. More info available here.

Free Computers Available through State Farm’s In-kind Computer Donation Program

State Farm has an in-kind computer donation program available now to qualifying nonprofits. The computers are gently used, and made available through the organization’s technology rotation policy. Details of the program and available items that are available are here. Computers are donated on a first-come; first-served basis. For Cincinnati region, inquiries can be directed to Benjamin Justice

Cincinnati Regional Chamber “Building Cultural Competence” Applications due March 11

Embark on a journey of self-discovery this year and become a leader of change through the Cincinnati Regional Chamber‘s “Building Cultural Competence” leadership development program. The sessions equip attendees with the skills to build bridges across the cultural, political, and social divides in our region and nation. Participants will widen their perspectives and deepen their understanding of others and themselves, helping them grow into a more effective leader capable of embracing difference as a competitive advantage and leading a cultural shift within your organization. Applications are due March 11. Tuition for Chamber members – $1,500; Non-members – $2,500. More info here.
