Common Good Voucher Program

OneSource Center is committed to supporting nonprofit organizations delivering on their missions to meet the needs of our community. Our Common Good Voucher Program is designed to support agencies that provide essential household and personal items to individuals in need through their programs.

The 2021-2022 Common Good Voucher Program will allow OneSource Center to provide vouchers to participating OneSource Center member organizations that are redeemable by your clients while shopping in our Common Good Warehouse. Through grant funding we are able to provide these vouchers at no cost to the participating agencies. The agencies will determine which clients receive the vouchers based on their assessment of the client’s needs. The agency should be prepared to have an agency representative accompany clients to the OneSource Center Common Good Warehouse.

Target population is agency clientele who are low-income and in need of household goods. While we will distribute vouchers in $25 increments, the partner agency decides the total amount received by the voucher recipient. Each voucher is for a one-time visit; no credit will be issued for unused value. Merchandise received can include furniture, personal care products, kitchen equipment, household linens, toys for kids, etc.

Another way we can help is to offer you the opportunity to purchase vouchers from OneSource Center to give to your clients. We have one agency that we work with this way and it is a win/win for us and them. They would in most cases be providing gift cards to be used at local retailers. By providing them with vouchers from OneSource Center, their clients are able to get as much as three times the product to use as they need.

We focus on agencies that provide their clients with personal choice shopping. To apply for vouchers please complete the application and return to byantek@onesourcectr.org.

Funding for the Common Good Voucher Program is provided through grants from the Elsa Heisel Sule Foundation, Lutheran Church of the Resurrection and the John A Schroth Family Charitable Trust at PNC Charitable Trust.

Cincinnati Building Improvement — Cincinnati 2030 District

Did you know that on average people spend 90% of their time indoors, and that building quality has a huge impact on health? The Cincinnati 2030 District recognizes this need, and is creating healthier buildings in the Greater Cincinnati area. The organization works to include enhanced air quality, clean drinking water and restorative spaces, and makes recommendations on how to get rid of any toxic chemicals in your building.

Want to join? Nonprofits can become Community Partners of the Cincinnati 2030 District for free, and start making their buildings a healthier environment today.  Click here to sign up.

Came for a Visit and Look What They Found!

Haven’t been to our Shoppers Club warehouse in a while? Our Dalton Avenue location is centrally located, and when Amy Silver and Lauren Stoll came for a visit recently, they were glad they did! The drive from Over-the-Rhine Community Housing is short, and they found several items to enhance their new offices and that they can utilize for special event programing for their residents.

When they were here they also learned about the “Common Good Voucher” program – a service tailor made for their clientele who are transitioning and often need household or baby care items to fill needed gaps. The grant-funded voucher program – designed so agencies can give vouchers to clients to visit OneSource Center – is available now, and agencies just need to complete the online form, or contact Beth Yantek for more information.

Funding for this program has been provided thanks to grants from Elsa Heisel Sule Foundation, Lutheran Church of Resurrection and the John A Schroth Family Charitable Trust at PNC Charitable Trust.

“We are so glad we came for a visit today. The prices of the items will really help us stretch our available funds, and the voucher program could be a real benefit to our programming. We left with much more than we expected, and we will make OneSource Center’s Shoppers Club a regular stop!” Silver and Stoll agreed.

Year-end Wrap; New Year’s Planning — How can a Trusted Partner Help?

It’s hard to ask for help. Most nonprofit leaders are self-starters with creative leanings on how to get the job done with limited resources and staffing. Yet, even the most passionate leaders are feeling the strain of this ongoing pandemic and with year-end wrap-up/new year planning right around the corner.

Now is the perfect time to find out how OneSource Center can assist! And with grant funding opportunities available for agencies hesitant to even consider receiving outside assistance – this is even more reason to do some research.

You don’t have to have it all figured out in order to make a call to OneSource Center!

A conversation with Vickie Ciotti gets the process started to help lighten your load. Things that can be considered could include a visioning session; Human Resources guidance; planning a board or staff retreat; project planning guidance; coaching for a new department head; a financial checkup or even kicking off a strategic planning initiative. The options are actually almost limitless. Our team includes experienced executives trained in nonprofit best practices.

Consider reaching out to OneSource Center today for assistance. As a nonprofit ourselves, we understand the challenges you face and with 210 successful project completions in the last four years, our track record speaks for itself. Visit our website to learn more!
