2018 EXCEL Leadership Program Registration Filling Up

Developing the leadership skills of your management team not only has the potential to impact your nonprofit in areas of staff development, operations and visioning, but it also has the ability to strengthen the fabric of nonprofit leadership community-wide. Executive directors and high-level managers who participate in the NLIGC EXCEL nine-month leadership development program overwhelmingly praise the training and mentorship they receive in monthly sessions – often going on to enroll key staff in the next year’s program. It has been described as “life changing” by one 2017 participant and helped another leader grow “exponentially” in his understanding of nonprofit organization management and leadership.

This year’s EXCEL program runs from September 2018-May 2019. The class features faculty and coaches from Executive Service Corps of Cincinnati (now part of ReSource) along with guest speakers and presenters from area corporations. Additionally, participants are matched with a personal mentor, giving participants one-on-one consultations throughout the year enhancing professional development. Program is limited to 24 people, so register in soon!

Nonprofit Leadership Institute of Greater Cincinnati (NLIGC) is a partnership between Community Resource Center and Talbert House. More details are available on the NLIGC website.

Building a Better Board – July 11, 2018

Does your board need workers? Skills? Connections? What are the organizational needs? Who will be a good fit? How do I find Mr. or Ms. Right?

In addition to finding the right board members, you will clarify what functions belong to the board and what functions belong to the Executive Director. Then you can begin to move the board to more strategic and less operational duties and activities to work toward your mission.

Presented by: Pat Seuberling, Volunteer Consultant, Executive Service Corps-Cincinnati. Pat is an accomplished nonprofit executive with more than twenty years’ experience in leadership and development.

Seminars are provided through the collaboration of Resource, Executive Service Corps and are sponsored by Interact for Health. Program details are available on our website. Register now online.
