The Foundation’s Board of Directors meets twice a year to consider formal grant requests.  Meeting dates vary but Charity Grant submission deadlines are always March 1 (Spring Cycle), and October 1 (Fall Cycle).  Grant decisions are usually communicated within 10 days of the meeting.  Click here for more information. 

The Butler Foundation funds public charities based in or serving financially disadvantaged residents of Northern Kentucky.   

Priority consideration goes to programs and organizations that promote 

• Individual dignity
• Gainful employment
• Self-sufficiency
• Education and life-long learning 
• Long-term outcomes
• Efficient leveraging of resources (challenge grants, collaborations, etc.)
