OneSource was a returning partner to this year’s Community Makeover Project, spearheaded by the Reds Community Fund and Procter and Gamble. About 500 volunteers worked on this year’s Community Makeover Project, revitalizing Prospect Baptist Church’s 22-acre campus into an “urban campground” for the community along with upgrades to the Summit Center.
In addition to the exterior work, Kroger volunteers rehabbed the Summit Center’s kitchen space. A team from Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center created a Teen Wellness Center, which will feature a computer lab, yoga and sessions on nutrition and fitness. GE volunteers added a “maker space,” complete with new technology and computers. Interact For Health provided funding and volunteer support, Cincinnati Community ToolBank provided more than 1,400 tools and equipment and OneSource assisted with furniture and interior design.
