OneSource Center was proud to once again be a supporter of the annual Community Makeover, coordinated through the Red’s Community Fund  on Thursday, August 6.  The 2020 project, serving the community of Avondale, was scaled back from previous plans due to COVID-19 guidelines.  But, even with the smaller scope, OneSource Center was able to provide access to furnishing from its Shoppers Club including file cabinets and shelving for South Avondale Elementary to help the school prepare for the return of students next month.

Included in the project were interior upgrades to the food pantry and “groom room,” which provides clothes, supplies, changing rooms and other necessities for the nearly 400 students. Exterior work included painting, mulching and installing picnic benches for an outdoor classroom.  Additional volunteers assembled backpacks with school supplies and personal care products. These items are being made available to students and families from both South Avondale Elementary as well as nearby Rockdale Academy.

“OneSource Center was proud to collaborate with the Reds Community Fund,  Cincinnati Children’s Hospital and others during these challenging times to creatively come up with ways to make our community stronger,” said Christie Brown, OneSource Center CEO.  “Nonprofits, schools and government entities are all able to utilize our consulting, training and Shoppers Club resources.  We want to help!”
