We’re Hiring: Manager of Communications

JOB SUMMARY:
The Manager of Communications is responsible for creating and coordinating communications to volunteers, clients, funders and the public and for supporting agency fundraising and marketing efforts.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Writes, formats and sends monthly newsletters to agencies to include news and other items of interest to the nonprofit community
  • Working with staff, develops and formats content for monthly volunteer newsletter
  • Writes and works with graphics firm to develop annual impact mailer and annual fall printed newsletter and coordinates mailing to all stakeholders
  • Creates needed graphics for social media posts and newsletters
  • Attends and take minutes at all board meetings
  • Works with the Director, Marketing and Development to develop and implement marketing and public relations strategies
  • Assists with preparation of impact reports to funders and other stakeholders
  • Provides social media support
  • Manages the donor database
  • Assists Director, Marketing and Development with the planning and execution of annual fundraising event
  • Assists with grant writing

EXPERIENCE:
Strong written and oral communication skills
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Communications or related work experience
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
Knowledge of fundraising strategies and donor relations
Experience in optimal use of social media
Preferred: experience with DonorPerfect, Canva, and Constant Contact
Strong attention to detail
Experience in Microsoft Office

SALARY RANGE:

$20,000 to $21,500
