Thanks to the collaboration, creativity and hard work of dedicated volunteers and staff, the OneSource “A Celebration on the Hill” fundraising gala, held September 27 at The Monastery Event Center, was a smashing success. Through corporate sponsorships, event fundraising efforts and appeals, over $130,000 was raised to support the OneSource mission and the thousands of lives touched daily through the nonprofits we serve. Michael Johnson, the new CEO of The United Way of Greater Cincinnati, was the keynote speaker at the event, and business leaders, sponsors and friends lauded the evening as “a top nonprofit event.” Procter & Gamble and collaborating partner Pro Bono Partnership received OneSource Community Partner Awards for their corporate and nonprofit organization’s efforts to enrich our community. Amelia Crutcher, a long-time volunteer, received the Founder’s Award.
Join us for our annual celebration of all the partners who make it possible
for OneSource to inspire nonprofit excellence.

OneSource was a returning partner to this year’s Community Makeover Project, spearheaded by the Reds Community Fund and Procter and Gamble. About 500 volunteers worked on this year’s Community Makeover Project, revitalizing Prospect Baptist Church’s 22-acre campus into an “urban campground” for the community along with upgrades to the Summit Center.
In addition to the exterior work, Kroger volunteers rehabbed the Summit Center’s kitchen space. A team from Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center created a Teen Wellness Center, which will feature a computer lab, yoga and sessions on nutrition and fitness. GE volunteers added a “maker space,” complete with new technology and computers. Interact For Health provided funding and volunteer support, Cincinnati Community ToolBank provided more than 1,400 tools and equipment and OneSource assisted with furniture and interior design.
