OneSource and Funky’s Spring Social

News and Events
On June 11, 2019, nonprofit and corporate friends of OneSource Center joined together to enjoy a lovely evening at Funky’s new event venue, The View in Mt. Adams, with a message of A View of a Stronger Cincinnati. Nonprofit leaders were given a behind-the-scenes tour of Funky’s operations, and received some tips and tricks of event planning from Martha Steier, OneSource Center Development Director.

Following this nonprofit event planning session, nonprofits joined OneSource Center board members, volunteer consultants and corporate supporters for cocktails and a delicious spread of Funky’s Catering cuisine. We give heartfelt thanks to Funky’s Catering for co-hosting this event.

OneSource named it’s 2019 Nonprofit Community Partner, Cincinnati Cares, and thanked them for their work in connecting volunteers to opportunities with local nonprofits. OneSource client Q-Kidz performed for the group and the audience had the opportunity to see how our work is impacting the community and agency that mentors and works with these impressive young ladies.

Thomas G. Monaco Memorial Scholarship

News and Events

Tom Monaco was the lead presenter for the EXCEL leadership development for many years, and sadly, he died unexpectedly in March 2017. The Thomas G. Monaco Memorial Fund was established in his memory, to be used to support nonprofit leadership development training and continuing education in Greater Cincinnati. The fund is used to provide a scholarship each year for EXCEL candidates to further their leadership skills.

Tom’s life was characterized by his passion for education, his dedication to faith, and care for family and friends. During his time as a volunteer consultant and trainer, Tom worked on more than 15 consulting projects and served as a program manager, lead presenter and coach for the EXCEL series with our partnership in the Nonprofit Leadership Institute of Greater Cincinnati. Through his work with NLIGC, Tom supported the leadership training of more than 200 individuals from 125 area nonprofit organizations in our area. He also served as a board member and volunteered for a number of local community organizations including the Jewish Federation of Cincinnati, WordPlay Cincy and Linden Grove School.

To give the opportunity for leadership development through our EXCEL program to deserving nonprofit agency leaders, donate to the Thomas G. Monaco Memorial Fund.

Celebration on the Hill Gala Recap

News and Events

Thanks to the collaboration, creativity and hard work of dedicated volunteers and staff, the OneSource “A Celebration on the Hill” at The Monastery Event Center was a smashing success, lauded by many as a top nonprofit event.   Over 250 supporters gathered to recognize OneSource’s impact in the nonprofit community, and over $130,000 in net revenue was raised.

We thank Michael Johnson, new President and CEO of The United Way of Greater Cincinnati for his keynote address, and were proud to recognize Procter & Gamble and collaborating partner Pro Bono Partnership who received OneSource Community Partner Awards for their corporate and nonprofit organization’s efforts to enrich our community. Amelia Crutcher, a valued long-time volunteer and emeritus board member, received the Founder’s Award.

Through our combined efforts, OneSource is able to provide services, products and connections to hundreds of nonprofits positively impacting thousands of lives throughout the Greater Cincinnati area.  If you hear of organizations that want to donate gently used office furniture or supplies to our warehouse of offerings to nonprofits – have them give us a call!  Or, in your community interaction, if you hear about nonprofits who could benefit from staff training or consulting, coaching, strategic planning, board development or human resource guidance – our staff is here to guide and help!

OneSource wants to make an impact, and we do!  We believe that high-performing nonprofits are vital to a thriving Greater Cincinnati community and that OneSource can help greater Cincinnati nonprofits operate as best-in-class organizations to deliver on their missions and meet the needs of our community.
