We’re Hiring: Vice President of Operations

JOB SUMMARY:

The VP of Operations is responsible for all operational and administration functions of OneSource.   Primary responsibilities are the growth and enhancement of the retail operation, including on-site and on-line sales, and oversight and growth of the consulting and training services provided to the nonprofit community by a pool of volunteer consultants.  In addition, the SVP Operations will oversee the development of OneSource as a one-stop shop for nonprofits, through creation of a broad spectrum of services supporting more efficient and cost-effective operations for the nonprofit sector.   

PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Retail Operations

  • Oversees the warehouse operation and staff to provide continued revenue growth and efficient operation, both on-site and on-line
  • Develops and implements an effective business plan to build new revenue

Consulting Services:

  • Working with the VP, Consulting Services, oversees consulting services to grow the business while maintaining consistent, high-quality results for clients
  • Works with a volunteer leadership team to maintain and enhance leadership training programs for the nonprofit community

Nonprofit Services:

  • Oversees the development of a detailed business plan to assess feasibility of a shared services model, providing a range of services to enhance operations of local nonprofits
  • If approved by the OneSource Board, implements, maintains and grows the menu of services
  • Working with Director, Marketing/Development, develops an annual marketing strategy supporting each tier of the plan
  • Builds and maintains the Partner Organization network

Strategic Planning

  • Works with the CEO and Board on development and implementation of OneSource’s strategic plan

Financial

  • Works with the CEO to develop annual budget for the retail operations and nonprofit services and ensures adherence to the budgets on a monthly basis
  • Prepares regular financial reports on retail and services operations for CEO and Board

Administration:

  • Hires, trains, develops and appraises direct reports effectively
  • Ensures all appropriate employment laws and regulations are followed throughout the organization
  • Ensures that the facility and infrastructure are meeting the needs of the organization
  • Works with volunteer consultants and Board committees on ad hoc projects to enhance OneSource’s operations

Qualifications:

Five plus years of experience in a management position in a nonprofit, with supervisory responsibilities

Strong written and oral communication skills

Demonstrated results in growing revenue in a nonprofit

Demonstrated ability to successfully manage multiple priorities

Experience in new business development is a plus

Salary Range:

$62,000 – $68,000
